Join Self-eSTEM as we bring women in the STEM industry together to share their experiences and influence young women to consider education and career paths in STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math). The event will include a panel discussion and opportunities to connect with women from various STEM companies and research areas.
Our panel with consist of diverse career roles in the STEM ecosystem such a researchers, diversity advocates, instructors, engineers, educators, recruiters, etc. We encourage them to share their experiences, share their position in STEM, and help influence young women to pursue STEM career pathways. Our panel will discuss topics such as school/workplace challenges, building relationships with teachers and mentors, and their personal experience on succeeding in the STEM fields.
This event is a multi-generation event and will include young girls, ages 7-17 from underrepresented communities in the Bay Area, college students and early/advanced career professionals. Our philosophy is it is never to early to unify women across various STEM pillars. Our goal is to continue to spark and strengthen the youth's STEM curiosity (growth mindset) and provide insight on how to navigate educational and career paths for all.
